About
About Cambridge Drywalling
A direct booking line for one vetted, insured drywall contractor working across Cambridge and the surrounding townships.
Cambridge Drywalling is a booking line. It is not a drywall company and does not present itself as one. The site exists so that someone in Galt with a plaster wall coming down, a Preston owner with a flooded basement, or a Hespeler family with a bare basement gets to one vetted, insured contractor quickly, instead of filling in several lead forms and being called by a dozen people for a fortnight.
What that means in practice: the work is done by a drywall contractor who carries their own insurance and WSIB coverage, quotes in writing after looking at the job, and is accountable for it. Your details are not sold on to a list of contractors and you are not entered into an auction.
The site is straight about permits, asbestos, water and heritage because getting them wrong is expensive. The permit triggers quoted here are the City of Cambridge's published list, the additional-unit rules are the City's, the second-unit and garage requirements are from Ontario's Building Code and the provincial guide, asbestos handling follows Ontario's regulation and the Region's disposal rules, all as of 2026. Where something is the City's, the Township's, the Conservation Authority's or the heritage staff's to confirm, this site says so rather than guessing.
Some jobs are declined. Scraping or cutting into suspect pre-1990 material without a lab test, boarding over a foundation wall that is still wet, closing up a flood repair before the cavity reads dry, finishing an additional unit without a permit, and stripping original trim that cannot be saved when an overlay would have kept it are all better turned down than started.
How this works
When you call 226-779-6098 or send the form, your details go straight to the drywall contractor covering Cambridge — not to a list, and not to a call centre. Calls go to voicemail if they are on a job, which most of the day they are, and the message and your number reach them immediately by text and email. Expect a call back the same day or the next working day. The next step is a site visit, because a drywall quote made without tapping the plaster, metering the wall or seeing the ceiling is a guess: the visit settles which walls are repaired, overlaid or stripped, the board types and finish level, the boxing and strapping, whether a permit, a lab test or another trade comes first, and the written quote follows from that.
What we won't do
- Publish reviews we didn't earn. When we have them, they'll be real ones with names.
- Quote a firm price before someone has seen the job.
- Send anyone into your property who we would not have in our own.
